Central America - 2011A journey through Central America leads us through unbelievably green parts of Costarica, beautiful colonial cities of Nicaragua, Mayan settlements scattered through El Salvador and archeological pearls of Honduras. At the end, we land in the paradise of Roatán Island.
Ecuador - 2010This is the story about our latest trip to Ecuador. Within 24 days we passed chain of Andes, climbed on 5000 meters high volcano and visited Huaorani Indians in the wild jungle. See our photo galleries of colorful world of Latin America, fantastic people, amazing landsapes and beautiful coutrysides.
United States - 2009An unexpected invitation became a convenient pretext to eventually obtain the US tourist visas. Our conquest of America went under the sign of the number three. For a little more then three weeks we managed to visit a vast part of the continent: three cities (New York, Las Vegas and Miami) and three marvelous national parks - Bryce, Zion, and Grand Canyon. From the eastern coast to the deserts of Nevada, through three time zones. We moved on from place to place captivated by the beauty of the United States, writing everything down in our journal, from New York to the southernmost part of the country - Key West.
Jamaica, Cuba - 2009After a week-long exploration of the Leeward Islands and a visit to Jamaica - the miniature Africa situated right in the middle of the Caribbean - we eventually reached Cuba. There, 50 years after the victorious ending of the revolution, we observed the slow agony of the collapsing marxist economy. Within the 16 days of our journey we met Jamaican rastamen, explored the heart of reggae, attended the sites of worship of the Cuban Revolution and danced to the hot salsa rhythms in Havana.
Leeward Islands - 2009As a part of our yearly journey to the warmer regions of the world we set our course to the British Leeward Islands. Onboard of a chartered catamaran manned by a crew of professionals, we reached not only the popular must-see sites but also some completely forgotten islands of whose existence even their closest neighbors weren't completely aware. We experienced a fierce storm, dived the magnificent coral reefs, lay under a landing jumbo-jet and visited Chuck Norris's mansion. This couldn't have happened anywhere else but in the Carribean!
Sri Lanka, Maldives - 2008Does vacation always mean a bright sun and serene skies? Not necessarily! Having asked ourselves the question: "What is it like to travel in the tropics in the wet season?" we decided that our next destination would be Sri Lanka and the Maldives. We deliberately chose to set out in September - the peak of the rainy season. "If we enjoy such conditions," we thought, "then this will prove that we are capable of traveling during any time of the year."
Burma, Cambodia, Thailand - 2008Where can you find the largest number of Buddha temples? In which country a mad ruler ordered all monuments to be destroyed, except for one site, whose exceptional charm held the madman back? Do you know of any place in the world where people paddle with their feet? No? Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar, formerly Burma, were the next highlights of our journey to the farthest corners of the Earth. Three weeks and thousands of kilometers in the bewildering world of southeast Asia were an experience that greatly exceeded our wildest dreams...
Kenia, Tanzania - 2007At the end of January, at the turning point of the wet and dry seasons, we started our expedition to the Black Continent. In every corner of this land we were captivated by its charm and beauty and felt the irresistible urge to return there someday. We enjoyed the contact with the intact nature in the Kenyan and Tanzanian national parks, at the foot of the fearsome Mount Kilimanjaro, and on the immaculate Zanzibarian beaches immersed in turquoise waters. We also had the chance to experience the extraordinary kindness of the Africans, who eased our European mentality with the words "hakuna matata" or "pole, pole".
Republic of Karelia, Kola Peninsula- 2006At the end of July, curious yet apprehensive, we set out to a destination so far unknown by us - Russia. The main goal of the expedition was to reach Murmansk - the northernmost city of the Kola Peninsula. Our route was laid out through forsaken villages of the Republic of Karelia - a beautiful region of sixty hundred lakes. We planned to spend all nights camping in the wild and move through desolate areas far from any traces of civilization. Our team consisted of twelve people in four off-road vehicles and covered a distance of over 6000 kilometers in a period of two weeks.
Mexico, Guatemala, Belize - 2006On April 15, 2006 we started our adventure with the culture of the Mayas, Zapotecs and Aztecs. In three weeks we visited a couple of South Mexican states, broke through the jungle by boat to the wild, northern Guatemala, and rested in the sun on the white Carribean sands of the Belizean coast. Our three-people crew examined the ruins of ancient, pre-columbian cities, tasted the splendid Central American liquors and admired the blue bottom of the Carribean Sea.
Iran - 2005The idea to visit Iran came into being after watching Ian Wright's GlobeTrekker on the Travel channel. The general picture of the country emerging from Wright's coverage was in utter opposition to the popular belief about the Islamic Republic of Iran. We decided to find out first-hand what the country from G.W. Bush's Axis of Evil is really like.
Peloponnesus Peninsula - 2005We decided it was high time to visit the cradle of European civilization and headed towards the most beautiful part of Greece - the Peloponnesus Peninsula. This wonderful place with the highest number of ancient sites known from the Greek mythology is also exceptionally diverse with respect to landscape.
Peru, Bolivia - 2005The end of march in Poland carries an unpleasant whiff of the departing winter. We decided to devote ourselves to the pleasures of travel and exploration in some more agreeable weather conditions and moved to the southern hemisphere, to Peru and Bolivia, just in time to catch the last moments of summer. This 24-day-long expedition will live forever in our memories - we wrote down the unforgettable experiences of this trip in a travel diary.
